麗しき国に生まれ育ってしまったために
どれもこれもあって当たり前の日々を生きて
完璧なものだけを欲しがっていった始末に
完璧じゃない人間を遠ざける人々

なんにしたって泣いて笑っているあの少年も政治家も 同じこの星を

そこから覗いてる景色は天国でも地獄でもない先進途上国
失望することばかりでも 目を見張る価値があるもの

きっとまだ間に合うよ
間違いだらけでいいじゃないか 街が腐りきってていいじゃないか
そこから覗いてる景色は天国にも地獄にも変えられるよ

In this wondrous land I was born and raised with utmost care
The immeasurable bliss I've known is beyond compare
Yet in spite of this, desires arise within me, an endless throng
Dissatisfaction and emptiness rage, making me feel so wrong
I daydream of shredding the world's currency into naught
Only then would I see the folly of my discontent, caught
But putting that aside, though I know not the intricate details
There was one I admired for their diligence and zeal
Who mistook money, love, and stimulants, delighting those quick to criticize
Whether or not there's a reason we were brought into being matters not
For we breathe and our hearts beat, that is our lot
Everyone, from here to yonder, shares this very moment
Can we laugh again? Are there things we long to do?
What hue does the setting sun cast upon your view?
If hope is our guide, we'll face endless despair
Yet in this fleeting moment, a connection we share
If we could love, simply love, and live our lives that way
Tomorrow surely holds a brighter day

“I didn't bully to inflict pain, it's true,
But if I didn't, I feared I'd be the one in pain, too,”
The weeping boy confessed, yet the blame was cast aside
As a thirst for sensationalism guided the narrative's tide
I believe no malice dwells within our hearts, I trust
We simply stumble and inflict wounds in our search for what is just
Born into this bountiful land, we take it all for granted
Expecting perfection, our hearts by discontent enchanted
We ostracize those who fall short, our standards oh so high
Imperfect beings, we push away, with nary a sigh
Whether or not there's a reason we were brought into being matters not
For we weep and we laugh, the boy, the politician, under the same celestial dot
Can we walk again? Can we rise after a fall?
The view from here is neither heaven nor hell, but a land in between, answering nature's call
Disappointments abound, yet wonders still remain
The connection we feel, the person before our eyes, love's sweet refrain
If we could love, simply love, and support one another
There's still time, I believe, for a brighter tomorrow's cover
Our mistakes define us not, let corruption run its course
The view from here can be transformed, heaven or hell, our choice, of course
Can we laugh again? Can we walk again?
With those we connect, hand in hand
Born of love, a future bright
Our tomorrow awaits, the world a wondrous sight
